Video Producer, Director and Editor – E2SP (Early Elementary Science Partnership) (2011)
Hired to produce field trip primer videos for several Chicago area museums to help students prepare for science based field trips. Responsibilities included pre-production planning, oversight and direction of video production crew, directing scripted on-camera segments with museum staff and students, and editing of all content.
Documentary Video Production – Field Museum of Natural History (2010 – 2011)
Produced web-based promotional outreach documentary video and podcast content for mueseum’s outreach initiative Science@FMNH, highlighting the extensive amount of active scientific research at the museum. Responsibilities included pre-production development, coordination and planning, conducting and filming interviews with eminent scientists, extensive filming in exhibits, collections and laboratories, and all video and audio editing.

Documentary about an ancient Japanese samurai clan filmed entirely on location in Japan. Responsibilities encompassed oversight of all stages of the filmmaking process.

Elemental is a documentary film that chronicles the fascinating process of forging Japanese samurai swords using ancient methods dating back to the 11th century. Responsibilities covered all aspects of production from pre-production planning to direction of principal photography, to editing the film.

Assisted development executives. Job responsibilities included maintaining calendars, setting appointments with other studios, talent agencies, and production companies, extensive script coverage and analysis, project research, oversight of office interns.

Identifying and solving problems with editing platforms Avid XPress Pro, Media Composer, Symphony Nitris, Adrenaline and Final Cut Pro. Dubbing between different tape formats, connecting decks to servers, and assisting students.
